ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Two siblings are injured after police say they got into a fight that led to a shooting in St. Pete.
St. Petersburg police say this happened just before 12:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of 49th Street South and 17th Avenue South when officers found the two brothers, 18 and 19 years old, injured inside a crashed vehicle.
The 19-year-old was suffering from a gunshot injury, while the 18-year-old was only injured due to the crash.
Both were taken to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital. The 19-year-old is in critical condition, while his brother is in stable condition.
Investigators believe the brothers got into a roadway argument with another driver that led to shots being fired, resulting in the crash.
Police say they were able to locate the other vehicle involved and took a person of interest into custody for questioning.
