But there are concerns the Republican might resign early. Speaker Mike Johnson says he has asked Dunn to serve out his term, Politico is reporting. Johnson is looking to maintain his narrow majority. Right now, Republicans can afford to lose no more than one GOP vote on party-line measures, though they are expected to pick up a vote in a special election next month, Politico says.
