SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Seven people are dead following connected shootings in Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale, including the suspect who was found dead at a Sarasota home.
A 911 call captured the moment a neighbor discovered one of the victims bleeding in his yard. The caller attempted CPR on the victim, who was pronounced dead after the Sarasota County Fire Department arrived.
Two people were killed in Fort Lauderdale and five were found dead in a Sarasota neighborhood, including suspect Russell Cott.
The Sarasota victims have been identified as 49-year-old Olga Greinart, 66-year-old Florida Stolyar, 61-year-old Anatoly Yaffe and 39-year-old Jaroslav Blyovdoj.
‘A huge loss’: Shooting victim remembered as community-focused clinic owner
The victims are from the North Chicago suburbs, including Buffalo Grove, Wheeling and Grays Lake, about 45 minutes to an hour outside of Chicago.
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office confirms Cott had a romantic relationship with one of the Fort Lauderdale victims.
One Fort Lauderdale victim, Larissa Blayadea, moved to Florida from the Chicago area. Public records show she worked for ArgoMed Group, LLC, which is registered to the Sarasota house on Fall Crest Circle where the shooting occurred.
A Federal Health and Human Services Registry shows ArgoMed is doing business as Osprey Poly Clinic. Tony was a partner at that clinic, and his wife Larita was another Sarasota victim.
According to her Instagram posts, Larita moved from Ukraine 30 years ago and married Tony in 1999.
The other Fort Lauderdale victim, Ben Azivob, was friends with Larissa and both Sarasota victims Tony and Florida, according to his Facebook page. A GoFundMe page identifies Ben as Larissa’s 18-year-old son.
