RANDOLPH COUNTY, Mo. – A north Missouri woman died following a Wednesday evening crash on U.S. Highway 63.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. at Route K near Cairo.

According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an eastbound car driven by a 75-year-old woman from Jacksonville travelled into the path of a northbound SUV.

The SUV was driven by a 56-year-old woman from Green Castle, Mo.

The driver of the SUV received minor injuries and a passenger, a 59-year-old man, also from Green Castle, received moderate injuries.

Both were taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia.

A passenger in the car, a 15-year-old girl from Cairo, Mo., received serious injuries. She was taken by helicopter also to University Hospital.

The driver of the car was taken by ambulance to University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The report states the passenger in the SUV was wearing his seat belt. It is unknown if the others involved in the crash were.
