The City of Miami Beach is pleased to announce the Homestead Relief Program, designed to provide financial assistance to permanent residents who own homesteaded property within the city.
Program Details:
Eligible properties include all homesteaded parcels as of January 2, 2025, listed in the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser’s tax roll dated October 6, 2025.
A total of 14,095 properties will receive a one-time payment of $500. (Vacant parcels and non-residential features are excluded.)
No Action Required: Residents do not need to register or submit documentation. Checks will be mailed automatically to the address on record with the Miami-Dade Property Appraiser’s Office.
Timeline:
Check processing began on February 6, 2026.
Mailing will occur in batches over the next 2–3 weeks.
