TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCJB) – In Tallahassee, a bill to un-dam the Ocklawaha River is ready for a full vote on the Senate floor.
The Senate Appropriations Committee voted 17-1 to advance the bill, moving it past the final committee hurdle.
Senator Stan McClain of Marion County was the only “No” vote on the bill to unblock the Kirkpatrick Dam and drain the Rodman Reservoir.
A companion bill is ready for a vote on the full House floor.
