KAUFMAN COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) – Two suspects wanted for murder in Florida were arrested in Kaufman County on Wednesday.
According to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office, Trevon Quinones and Jayden DeJesus were arrested in Forney on warrants from Broward County, Florida.
The sheriff’s office said the case began Feb. 1 when Broward County deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle in a park in western Broward County. When deputies responded, they found a man dead in the front passenger seat of the vehicle.
According to the sheriff’s office, the U.S. Marshals Service reached out for help locating Quinones and DeJesus as they were believed to be in Kaufman County, Texas.
On Wednesday, Kaufman County investigators working with Broward County detectives and the U.S. Marshals Service located the suspects’ vehicle at a Forney apartment complex. The sheriff’s office said investigators watched one suspect enter the vehicle and leave the complex.
According to the sheriff’s office, both suspects were taken into custody following a traffic stop conducted with the support of Forney police and the Kaufman County Constable’s Office.
Both suspects were taken to the Kaufman County Jail and are being held pending extradition to Florida.
