The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the woman was killed while riding an electric scooter down Jammes Road Thursday night.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash while riding an electric scooter Thursday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. 

JSO said the crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. in the 6300 block of Jammes Road. The victim was heading southbound on an e-scooter when she was struck by a vehicle also heading southbound.

The sheriff’s office said the suspect fled in his vehicle without stopping or giving the woman aid. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
