PORT ST. LUCIE – Three people forced their way into a home in the Terraces On The Square Apartments in the 2000 block of SE Hillmoor Drive, Port St. Lucie on Feb. 12, according to police reports.

The three suspects, wearing ski masks, were armed and got in through a rear sliding door at about 3:15 p.m., two male residents of the home told police.

The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle and no injuries were reported. It is not known if anything was taken from the home. A description of the vehicle was not available.

Police initially responded to the scene on Feb. 12 as a “call for service.”

This incident was isolated and does not appear to be random, according to police reports.

Investigators conducted interviews with the victims and witnesses, gathering firsthand accounts and corroborating details. A search warrant was obtained and executed at the victims’ residence.

The Criminal Investigations Division continues to actively pursue leads developed through interviews. Forensic analysis of evidentiary items is ongoing.

Detectives and crime scene Investigators were at the scene the morning of Feb. 13 to continue their investigation and collect evidence.
