Near the start of his career, Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. fulfilled a lifelong dream by playing for the Baltimore Ravens. 

Just ask him. 

During an appearance on Ryan Ripken’s show this week, Brown said the following: “I always dreamed of being able to put on number 78, play left tackle for the Ravens… so to be able to live out my dream to the fullest in that moment… it was special.”

But for those who don’t know, Brown wound up requesting a trade and landed with the Kansas City Chiefs in a deal involving multiple draft picks. 

The reason? He wanted to play left tackle:

Brown went on to win a Super Bowl with the Chiefs, but it was amid contract drama with the franchise that played a role in him hitting free agency. 

Then came the Bengals

Brown inked a four-year deal worth $64 million with the Bengals in 2023 and remains under contract through 2026 as the left tackle in front of Joe Burrow. 

If nothing else, it’s a nice little dose of history when it comes to Brown, who now plays for his third AFC contender and wants to keep being a key cog that pushes the Bengals back to the Super Bowl.
