PINELLAS COUNTY Fla. (KPTV) – A 35-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in Florida for a deadly crash in Klamath County, Ore., in 2024, according to Oregon State Police.
Desiree Danielle Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fla. was arrested in Pinellas Park, Fla. on a nationwide felony warrant for criminally negligent homicide, second-degree assault and reckless driving.
On the morning of Feb. 29, 2024, OSP officers were sent to a crash involving a semitruck on Highway 97 near milepost 174.

A man is facing charges after he crashed into a home early Friday morning, according to the Tigard Police Department.
Investigators believe the crash happened when Johnson was driving a Peterbilt truck and trailer south on Hwy 97, when she lost control. The semi jackknifed in the roadway and spun into the path of a Honda Pilot heading north.
The Honda, driven by 37-year-old Elise Adair Farrens of La Pine, smashed into the trailer, and Farrens died in the crash.
Farrens’ passenger, a 23-year-old pregnant La Pine woman, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The passenger survived, but she lost her child due to her injuries.
Johnson is being held in Florida at the Pinellas County Jail, where she is awaiting extradition to Oregon.
