A new speakeasy has opened its doors in downtown Cape Coral, taking patrons back to the roaring twenties.
Escondido Lounge is located on Cape Coral Parkway, just south of the Farmers Market.
The speakeasy is inspired by the prohibition era, offering a unique experience reminiscent of a bygone time.
Escondido in Downtown Fort Myers has officially expanded across the bridge and Cape Coral is now home to its very own hidden gem. Escondido Lounge is the city’s newest speakeasy, offering a cozy yet upscale escape inspired by the elegance and intrigue of the Prohibition era.
True to its name, Escondido, meaning “hidden” in Spanish, keeps the mystery alive. Guests enter through a simple wooden door that conceals the lounge’s secret world.
Inside, vintage-inspired décor, dim lighting, and handcrafted cocktails transport you straight into the 1920s. Whether you’re sipping a signature cocktail or a creative mocktail, the space captures the perfect mix of nostalgia and modern luxury.
Co-owner Brad Cozza says expanding to Cape Coral was about bringing something the community hadn’t seen before. He says Escondido Lounge wants to give neighbors an experience, not just a drink.
So, how could this place get any better?
Although Escondido Lounge Cape Coral only recently opened its doors, there’s already more excitement on the way. Coming soon, the speakeasy will add a sushi restaurant inside the lounge, a concept called “Oiseushi.”
Oiseushi is a branch off of Oise Ristorante in Downtown Fort Myers, known for its creative Asian-Italian fusion from award-winning chef Brad Kilgore. The new concept will feature traditional sushi with an Italian twist, blending fresh fish with flavorful, Italian-inspired sauces.
Soon, guests will be able to enjoy one-of-a-kind sushi alongside handcrafted cocktails, all within Escondido’s intimate, vintage-inspired atmosphere.
Beyond the drinks and food, what truly sets this lounge apart are the skilled mixologists and the unbeatable vibes that make every visit feel like a secret worth sharing.
