TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Love is in the air this Valentine’s Day, and so is some beautiful weather.
Tonight Through Saturday Night
A calm, cool night is on tap across the Big Bend and South Georgia. We are dry under a mostly clear sky. Lows settle in the upper-30s to low-40s.
We are tracking mostly dry, warm weather for Valentine’s Day. Highs climb into the mid-70s under a mix of Sun and clouds.
Again, most of us are dry for Saturday night. However, a stray sprinkle cannot be ruled out. Overnight lows hover in the mid-50s under a partly cloudy sky.
Our Next Weather System
Rain chances are set to spike on Sunday as our next weather system moves across the region.
Showers and a few thunderstorms are looking likely for the second half of the weekend.
The severe weather threat is low, but it is not zero. A Level 1 Marginal risk of severe weather is in place. The main threat will be gusty winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
Highs on Sunday top out in the upper-60s and low-70s under a mostly cloudy sky.
The wind on Sunday will also be gusty away from the rain. We could see winds gust to 25-30 mph at times.
Low temperatures only fall into the upper-50s as we stay cloudy for Sunday night.
Extended Forecast
The forecast is a little unsettled to start the new work week.
Spotty showers are possible on Monday under a partly sunny sky. Highs hover in the upper-60s and low-70s. Lows dip into the upper-40s and low-50s.
We are turning drier and sunnier for the middle of the week.
Highs on Tuesday and Wednesday reach the mid-70s, and lows settle in the low-to-mid-50s.
