Deadly crash on Florida interstate blocks traffic

Northbound lanes of Interstate 95 were closed Feb. 13 following a fatal crash in Indian River County, according to Fellsmere Police.

Fellsmere Police in a 7:18 p.m. Feb. 13 social media post stated the deadly crash happened just north of the Sebastian/Fellsmere exit.

The agency stated northbound lanes of I-95 were closed and expected to open at 9 p.m.

Fatal crashes on I-95 and Florida’s Turnpike typically are investigated by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Lt. Indiana Miranda, FHP spokesperson, did not immediately respond Feb. 14 to a request for additional information.
