The clock is ticking down toward tipoff between the Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats in a men’s college basketball matchup on Saturday afternoon in the O’Dome. Ahead of the premier SEC action, the latest betting odds are quite bullish on the Orange and Blue.

Florida brings an 18-6 overall record along with a 9-2 conference mark into play, holding the No. 14 spot in both the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 this week, along with a 3-seed in the major bracketologies. Kentucky holds a 17-7 total tally while winning eight of its 11 SEC games so far, holding the de facto No. 26 spot in the Coaches Poll while creeping into the top 25 in the AP Poll this week.

The Wildcats hold an overwhelming 110-42 edge in the all-time series between these two schools dating back to 1927, and the Gators are just 26-41 at home over that stretch. Take a look below at what the oddsmakers are thinking with just hours remaining before gametime.

The Gators cannot come into this matchup overconfident, especially after how Auburn flipped the tables on them last month. This Wildcat team is back on the rise and has some wind behind its sails coming into Gainesville, and despite the lopsided betting odds, could easily sneak up on Florida.

However, the likelihood of that happening feels pretty slim, especially after how well this team has performed on the road these past couple of weeks. Coming home to the Rowdy Reptiles should fuel Golden’s gang to yet another double-digit SEC victory.

PREDICTION: Florida 89, Kentucky 70
