JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (WBRC) – A fire destroyed a home in Jacksonville early Thursday morning.
Jacksonville Fire received a call at 3:18 a.m. about a fire at a home on Alexandria-Jacksonville Road.
A heavy fuel load was inside the home which fed the fire, according to Jacksonville Fire Department Fire Marshal Rodney Ball. A gas meter was also leaking which complicated putting the fire out.
