Kentucky comes in riding a three-game winning streak, defeating No. 15 Arkansas on the road, Oklahoma at home, and, most recently, No. 25 Tennessee 74-71 at Rupp Arena. The win over Tennessee was especially satisfying in that the Wildcats trailed by 14 at the half before storming back for the win. Otega Oweh led the team with 21 points, while Denzel Aberdeen added 16. It didn’t have to be such a close game, but the Wildcats struggled to shoot from the outside, making just 5 of 19 from the 3-point line.
Florida appears to have righted the ship after falling out of the AP Poll top-25 back on January 5th. Since then, they’ve won nine out of 10 games, with four of those wins coming against ranked opponents and the only loss coming against Auburn. Most recently, the Gators defeated Georgia 86-66 on the road, with four starters scoring in double digits, led by Xaivian Lee’s 18 points. Reuben Shinyelu dominated the glass, putting down 20 rebounds to help in the victory.
