Saturday afternoon’s men’s college basketball schedule includes an SEC showdown between the Florida Gators and Kentucky Wildcats inside the O’Connell Center. If you want to catch the action on TV or live stream, or are looking for betting odds and predictions, you have come to the right place.

Todd Golden’s team brings an 18-6 overall record along with a 9-2 conference mark into play, holding the No. 14 spot in both the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and AP Top 25 this week, along with a 3-seed in the major bracketologies. Florida’s lone home loss this season came at the hands of the Auburn Tigers three weeks ago.

Mark Pope’s squad holds a 17-7 total tally while winning eight of their 11 SEC games so far. The Coaches Poll had no room for them among its top 25 (UK is the de facto No. 26 team with 30 votes), but the AP voters brought them back into the fold at No. 25; Kentucky’s bracketology outlooks hover around a 6-seed currently.

The Gators cannot come into this matchup overconfident, especially after how Auburn flipped the tables on them last month. This Wildcat team is back on the rise and has some wind behind its sails coming into Gainesville, and despite the lopsided betting odds, could easily sneak up on Florida.

However, the likelihood of that happening feels pretty slim, especially after how well this team has performed on the road these past couple of weeks. Coming home to the Rowdy Reptiles should fuel Golden’s gang to yet another double-digit SEC victory.

PREDICTION: Florida 89, Kentucky 70
