TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – After dry conditions on Valentine’s Day, we are tracking some changes on Sunday.
Tonight Through Sunday Night
A quiet Saturday night is on tap for the Big Bend and South Georgia. A stray sprinkle is possible, but most of us are dry under a mostly cloudy sky. Lows settle in the mid-50s.
Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day as our next rainmaker sweeps across the region. Showers and a few thunderstorms are looking likely, and a few could be strong to severe.
A Level 2 Slight risk of severe weather is in place for the area. The main threat will be gusty winds, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The main timing for potential severe weather will be 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.
Away from the rain, it will be a breezy day. We could see winds gust up to 30 mph at times. Temperatures on Sunday top out in the upper-60s and low-70s under a mostly cloudy sky.
The severe weather threat will come to a close for Sunday evening, but a few leftover showers are possible. Lows hover in the mid-50s under a partly to mostly cloudy sky.
Starting The Work Week
Behind this system, we are slightly cooler on Monday. Highs top out in the upper-60s and low-70s under a partly sunny sky. Lows bottom out in the upper-40s.
Looking ahead, another taste of spring is on the way.
We are tracking dry weather on Tuesday under a mostly sunny sky. Highs climb into the mid-70s, with lows in the low-50s.
Wednesday is looking dry and warm. Temperatures reach the upper-70s under a mix of Sun and clouds. Lows dip into the mid-50s.
Extended Forecast
The weather pattern is looking warm to end the work week.
Highs on Thursday and Friday soar into the low-80s under a partly cloudy sky.
An isolated shower is possible, but rain chances are unimpressive at this point.
Overnight lows hover in the mid-and-upper-50s.
