TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – A hot start for Eastern Illinois proved too much for the Florida A&M baseball team to overcome in their season opener Friday, as the Rattlers fell 13-4 to the Panthers.
Eastern Illinois scored four runs in the first and three in second to take an early 7-0 lead, scattering 12 hits en route to the win. Will Brown led the Rattlers with two RBI.
FAMU will close out the series Saturday with a doubleheader against the Panthers. First pitch for game one is at 1:00.
