ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The St. Petersburg Police Department (SPPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that happened inside a home at 2501 1/2 7th St. S. on Saturday.
At 7:30 p.m., police responded to the call of an adult man shot in his home, where the victim, 38-year-old Denardo Woffard, later died of his injuries.
Police said Woffard was an acquaintance of the man who lives at the home. They quarreled and the resident shot Woffard, according to a Sunday news release.
Detectives interviewed witnesses throughout the night and no one has been charged at this time, SPPD said.
This is a developing story. Tampa Bay 28 will provide more details as they become available.
