Homicide investigation underway in St. Petersburg

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Saturday.

According to a release from the department, at 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a call in the 2500 block of 7th Street S.

The man died of his injuries.

Detectives do not believe this was a random incident and no danger is posed to the community.
