A student team from Orlando came out on top in a rigorous STEM competition.

An Orlando Science Charter School team celebrated a first-place win at the rigorous Hylas Invitational Science Olympiad Tournament. More than a dozen members of the Science Olympiad club recently earned that title by testing their knowledge on several topics such as physiology, entomology and the solar system.

“These students demonstrated focus, perseverance and strong teamwork throughout the competition, representing our school with pride,” said OSS principal Julie Santos.

They earned first place while facing off against 13 schools from around the country that participated in the event.
