The Florida State Seminoles and Florida Gators are always competing on the recruiting trail, and they are battling for elite athlete Tramond Collins, who is from Cottondale, Florida. The four-star prospect was committed to the Gators, but backed off his commitment in December of 2025.

FSU is looking to take advantage of its second chance in his recruitment, and it has scheduled an official visit with him. According to Chris Nee of Noles247, he will take his official visit to Tallahassee on June 12. He will also take official visits to see the Georgia Bulldogs, Gators, and Auburn Tigers during the summer.

Collins is ranked as the No. 128 overall player and No. 7 athlete in the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-2, 183-pounder is also the No. 13 player from Florida.

While he is listed as an athlete and plays all over the field for Cottondale High School, the Seminoles are recruiting him as a wideout, with offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. leading his recruitment. FSU does not have a wideout committed in its 2027 recruiting class, but it is in a good position with several blue-chip targets.

Collins did it all as a junior at Cottondale, logging extensive reps at running back, wide receiver, and on defense. On offense, he carried the ball 41 times for 600 yards and nine touchdowns to go with 36 receptions for 613 yards and five touchdowns. He finished with 50 tackles, one interception, and two pass breakups on defense.
