Security guard and two men shot in northwest Miami – NBC 6 South Florida

Three men were hospitalized after a shooting early Monday in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded around 4 a.m. to the area of Northwest 19th Avenue and Northwest 79th Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.

When deputies arrived, they found three adult men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported all three to a local hospital in stable condition.

Preliminary investigation revealed two men attempted to rob a security guard. There was an exchange of gunfire, and all three men were struck, police said.

MDSO robbery detectives are investigating.
