NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The South Carolina Stingrays brough home the final win of their three-game weekend on Sunday, beating out the Jacksonville Icemen 3-1 at the North Charleston Coliseum.
For the second night straight the Rays kicked the game off with a quick goal, just nine minutes into the first period. Forward Kaden Bohlsen pushed the pass from Stanley Cooley all the way, giving the Stingrays a 1-0 lead.
Throughout the opening period the Jacksonville Icemen fought to get past goaltender Seth Eisele with no such luck, however they did eventually achieve one goal early on in the second period.
Just 37 seconds into the Second, Icemen center/ right wing Christopher Brown banked a shot to tie the game.

After the goal, the Stingrays kept up the pressure throughout the second, and regained the lead less than 90 seconds into the third period.
Now leading 2-1, Jacksonville’s chances were limited in the final 18 minutes of the game. Though the Icemen managed seven shots on goal in the latter half of regulation, Eisele turned away each one.
In the closing seconds of the game, Stingray’s Ludwig Persson sent home a empty net goal to seal South Carolina’s victory, 3-1.
This game earned Eisele his third win of the weekend saving 21 shots on 22 attempts, while Pinard extended his point streak to eleven games with his game-winning goal.
The Stingrays will return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Feb. 18, against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at 10:30 a.m.
