Here are the area’s top high school sports performers for Feb. 13-14. Top performers are based on the results sent in by the coaches.

BOYS BASKETBALL
Grayson O’Brien, Dixon: The sophomore had 16 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block in a 73-61 loss to Swansboro.
Noah Wright, Dixon: The junior had 17 points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Bobby Hatchell, Jacksonville: The senior scored 12 points in a 72-47 loss to White Oak.
Dwight Hooker, Richlands: The sophomore scored 16 points in a 57-37 loss to Havelock.
Carlos Pagan, Southwest: The junior scored 37 points in a 73-70 loss to Trask.
Isaac Baxter, White Oak: The junior scored 21 points in a 72-47 victory over Jacksonville.
Joaliel Carabello, White Oak: The junior scored 12 points.
Zarion Hobbs, White Oak: The junior scored 18 points.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Kailei Dawsey, Dixon: The senior had nine points and seven rebounds in a 40-29 loss to Swansboro.
Destini Benton, Jacksonville: The junior scored 12 points in a 54-20 victory over White Oak.
Izabella Hernandez, Jacksonville: The junior scored 20 points.
Destiny Holmes, Jacksonville: The junior scored 11 points.
Mattie Floyd, Swansboro: The junior had nine points, 10 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks in a 40-20 win over Dixon.
Addison King, Swansboro: The junior had 21 points, five steals, four rebounds and one assist.
BOYS SWIMMING
Croatan’s 200 medley: The relay team of Gavin Speares, Jonathan Wilson, Connor Sampson and Tyler Ferguson was eighth in 1:51.59 in the state 5-A championship meet.
Connor Sampson, Croatan: Sampson was sixth in the 100 backstroke in 58.79 and seventh in the 50 freestyle in 22.84.
Trevor Hucal, Swansboro: The senior was second in the 100 breaststroke in 57.06 and seventh in the 200 IM in 1:59.43 in the state 6-A championships.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Croatan’s 400 freestyle relay: The relay team of Addison Guelich, Claire Day, Mara Jennings and Ella Lechene was sixth in 4:00.33.
Mara Jennings, Croatan: Jennings was seventh in the 100 freestyle in 59.32.
Ella Lechene, Croatan: Lechene won the 500-yard freestyle title in 5:18.56 and was third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.87 in the NCHSAA 5-A state championship meet at Triangle Aquatic Center.
