According to data provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, there are currently 63 cases in the Sunshine State.
Earlier this month, NBC News reported that at least 12 people tested positive for measles at Ave Maria University, a private Catholic college near Naples, Florida.
As of Feb. 12, the CDC said there have been 910 cases of measles.

What are measles
Measles is extremely infectious, and a potentially severe rash illness, the CDC said.
The CDC says that before the measles vaccine was introduced, there were an estimated 48,000 people who were hospitalized, and 400-500 people died in the U.S. every year.
On Feb. 8, Dr. Mehmet Oz, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services administrator, urged people to get vaccinated for measles.
“Take the vaccine, please,” Dr. Oz said. ” “We have a solution for our problem.”
