BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Liv McGill has been named to the 2025-26 Preseason All-SEC Second Team, the conference announced Wednesday.
McGill broke out in her freshman season, quickly becoming a key ingredient to the team’s success as a starting guard. In her first year, the Florida Gator became the leading scorer for the team, averaging roughly 16.5 points per game. She currently owns the program record for the most points recorded in a freshman season at 611. McGill helped lead the program to the Quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament and was selected to the 2025 SEC All-Freshman Team. The Minneapolis native was also named to the WBIT All-Tournament Team, where the Gators made it to the Semifinals of the tournament.
Florida will kick off its 2025-26 campaign on Nov. 3, as they host North Florida in Exactech Arena at Stephen C. O’Connell Center at 7 p.m.
