PORT ST. LUCIE ── New York Mets spring training runs February-March.
Team workouts, open to the public, occur on a daily basis starting Feb 11 and go throughout the spring training season, including on gamedays.
Spring training home games begin Saturday, Feb. 21 when the Marlins come to Clover Park at 1:10 p.m.
The Astros, Nationals, Marlins, Cardinals, Yankees, Blue Jays, Team Nicaragua, Team Israel and the Rays Spring Breakout prospects are also part of the home slate at Clover Park.
“I’m excited by this team. It’s different than the team we had last year but I mean a lot of these players we got are playoff tested. I expect this team to be a playoff team,” said Mets co-owner Steve Cohen in a recent interview with Mets broadcaster Howie Rose. “I really like this team we built. I’m excited by it.”
