Cape Coral Police have arrested a second suspect connected to a series of vehicle burglaries and property crimes that occurred earlier this year.

On Monday, October 20, 2025, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers with the Cape Coral Police Department arrested Jaydin Chase Kempton (DOB 02/27/2007) at North Nicholas High School, located at 428 SW Pine Island Road. Kempton was taken into custody without incident after confirmation of three active warrants related to multiple property crime investigations, including Burglary of a Conveyance (Felony), Criminal Mischief ($200–$1,000, Misdemeanor), Dealing in Stolen Property (Felony), and Petit Theft under $750 (Misdemeanor).

The warrants stem from investigations into several vehicle burglaries reported on June 22, 2025, in the area of Northeast 2nd Place. Evidence obtained from residential security cameras and social media activity identified Kempton and Darryle T. Ford (DOB 02/19/2008) as the suspects responsible. The pair were recorded on home surveillance footage entering vehicles, causing interior damage, and leaving the scene in a stolen vehicle.

Darryle Ford had previously been arrested in connection with these burglaries and a separate firearm-related investigation. Digital evidence recovered from Kempton’s phone further confirmed their involvement in multiple property crimes throughout Cape Coral.

Kempton was transported to the Lee County Jail on the following charges:

–2 counts in violation of F.S.S. 810.02(4b) – Burglary of a Conveyance

–2 counts in violation of F.S.S. 806.13(1b2) – Criminal Mischief $200-$1,000, First degree Misdemeanor
