A Martin County man was arrested after firing several gunshots from his home, one of which struck a neighbor’s horse, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office. The victim told deputies they heard a thud, which turned out to be a projectile from a 9 mm bullet that had gone through their window, originating from a neighbor about a quarter of a mile away.Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said Felipe Pascual-Andres, 28, told deputies he had just purchased a new firearm, a Glock pistol, and was practicing target shooting in his backyard off Southeast Salerno Road when three rounds missed their intended target.”As our detectives were investigating this they realized our suspect fired his gun 180 feet into the tree he was trying to hit and a few of those rounds he fired at least two that we know of went from where he shoot a thousand feet so almost a 1/4 mile were victim’s house was stuck and our victim’s horse was struck,” Budensiek said.Your neighborhood: Local coverage from WPBF 25 NewsOne bullet traveled through a door and wall of a neighboring home, ending up on the kitchen windowsill. Another landed on a back porch, and a third struck a horse in the neck, passing through it. The horse was examined by a vet and is expected to survive. No people were injured in the incident.
