PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men’s soccer team is set to return to Philadelphia for a home match against the South Florida Bulls from Temple Sports Complex on Friday night. USF owns a 3-1-1 record in conference play, currently holding the third spot in the American Conference standings.

Scouting Temple


The Owls enter Friday following a two-goal performance against Memphis. Chase Jackson fired in the first goal while Lukas Egarter converted on a penalty kick for Temple’s second.
Forward Nathan Brown was very effective against the Tigers on Saturday, tallying an assist on Jackson’s goal and drawing the penalty that allowed Egarter to score.
Preston Neal has started in goal over the last three matches, combining for 20 saves and a .755 save percentage.

Scouting South Florida


South Florida enters Friday after suffering a 3-1 loss to Missouri State, their first loss of the season.
Forward Fabio Bozesan led the Bulls with 15 points, enough to rank third in the American Conference.
Head Coach Bob Butehorn has been the head man for the Bulls since 2016. Reaching the NCAA Tournament in both 2019 and 2022, Butehorn led South Florida to a 6-6-4 record in 2024.

Series History against South Florida

This will be the 15th all-time meeting between the Owls and Bulls, with their last meeting in 2024 ending in a 2-0 win for South Florida.
