The Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical traces King’s remarkable rise from teenage songwriter in Brooklyn to chart-topping solo artist and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee. Before her own voice filled arenas, King was quietly shaping the sound of the 1960s, penning hits alongside then-husband Gerry Goffin and contemporaries Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. The show explores not only the music but the friendships, rivalries, heartbreaks and resilience that defined her journey.

Under the direction of Slow Burn Co-Founder Patrick Fitzwater, the production stars Monet Sabel as Carole King, joined by Milo Alosi as Gerry Goffin, Nick Anastasia as Barry Mann, Lindsey Corey as Cynthia Weil and Michael Dean Morgan as Don Kirshner. Together, they bring to life classics including “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Natural Woman,” “Up on the Roof,” and “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling.”

Whether enjoyed as a Valentine’s celebration or simply a night out steeped in nostalgia, the production is a reminder that love stories are rarely simple, that friendship can sustain us, and that sometimes the truest emotions are the ones set to music.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical runs in the Amaturo Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts as part of MD Now Slow Burn Theatre Company’s 2025/2026 season.
