Residents of Charlotte County are being asked to follow a new watering schedule due to the Southwest Florida Water Management District’s water shortage restrictions.
The schedule is determined by the last digit of your address.
0 or 1, shall only water on Monday.2 or 3, shall only water on Tuesday.4 or 5, shall only water on Wednesday.6 or 7, shall only water on Thursday.8 or 9, shall only water on Friday, along with locations with a mix of addresses or for which an address cannot be determined (such as common areas associated with a subdivision).
The restrictions apply to all residents, including those on private wells.
Watering is limited to morning hours from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. However, hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants are allowed any day, any time.
These measures will remain in effect through July 1 to help conserve water resources in the area.
