Key Biscayne’s Winn-Dixie customers will soon be enjoying an even better grocery shopping experience.
That’s according to officials with The Winn-Dixie Company, the new collective name that officially replaced the Southern Grocers moniker this month.
“This is a defining moment — more than a name change, it proudly declares who we are and where we’re headed,” said Anthony Hucker, Chairman and CEO of The Winn-Dixie Company, in a news release.
With its refreshed branding, Winn-Dixie is rolling out a modernized visual identity, including a refined logo, brighter and more contemporary color schemes and a new tagline — “Bring Home More Good” — to reflect the grocer’s commitment to helping customers bring home more value, more great-tasting food and more of what matters most for their families.

In addition, the company is also introducing a sweet-and-sassy tone of voice that comes to life across marketing channels, from brand-new TV commercials to a more playful and locally engaged social media presence.
“This is only the beginning,” the news release stated.
So, what does it mean for Key Biscayne shoppers?
In a statement to Islander News, corporate officials said:
“Key Biscayne Winn-Dixie customers can expect a shopping experience that feels more fresh, more convenient and more tuned into how they shop today. While the store they know and love isn’t going anywhere, customers are already seeing thoughtful updates designed to make everyday trips easier and enjoyable.”
“… Customers will also see Winn-Dixie’s refreshed brand come to life inside the store, including updated signage and a bold new look for our iconic Lip Lickin’ Chicken — delivering the same craveable flavor customers know and love.”
Just as importantly, officials said, “for now,” the exterior “will remain the familiar blue, consistent with current plaza requirements, while interior updates take center stage.”

Founded in 1925, and based in Jacksonville, Winn-Dixie has been a trusted neighborhood grocer for more than a century, serving communities across Florida and southern Georgia.
“Becoming The Winn-Dixie Company brings a deeply rooted company name behind our shared purpose of empowering people to feed and enrich their communities,” Hucker said. “We’re investing with intention — opening new stores, refreshing existing ones and elevating the products our customers know and love — while maintaining our commitment to value and quality.”
Key Biscayne’s store has been one of the more modern ones in the company’s existing lineup, catering many of its items to the specific makeup of the local population.
Officials added in its statement to Islander News that, “Late last year, the store introduced a more intuitive layout along with an expanded assortment of natural, organic, specialty, international and everyday favorites — making it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for, whether they’re planning a quick dinner or stocking up for the week. Customers can also enjoy a newly expanded wine department, offering a wider variety of choices to explore.”
