A multi-vehicle crash temporarily shut down the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 near Broward Boulevard on Sunday and sent three people to the hospital, officials said.
Photos from the scene showed several heavily damaged vehicles, including one that flipped over. Three people were taken to Broward Health Medical Center — including one with life-threatening injuries, according to Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue.
FL511 cameras showed heavy traffic backups in the area early Sunday afternoon but now show that the lanes have reopened.
