Palantir Technology Inc. appears to be scrapping its plans for a new headquarters in Cherry Creek, Colorado, and instead relocating to Miami.

On Tuesday morning, the publicly traded software company decided to skip the formalities and announced on X that it would relocate its headquarters to Miami.

While the exact location of the new office hasn’t been announced, the company lists an Industrious coworking office at 19505 Biscayne Blvd. in Aventura as its “principal executive offices,” according to a December filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In 2020, Palantir relocated its headquarters from Silicon Valley to Denver. In September, news broke that it would build a more than 11K SF office for its new headquarters in Cherry Creek, according to The Denver Post.
The building’s landlord, Sagard Real Estate, did not immediately respond to Bisnow’s request for comment on the future of the Cherry Creek space.
Although Miami will be new territory for the S&P 500 company, its chairman, Peter Thiel, has had personal ties to the Magic City since the start of the pandemic.
Thiel has owned a mansion in Miami Beach since 2020, Bloomberg reported. San Francisco-based Founders Fund, a venture capital firm Thiel co-founded, and his Los Angeles-based private investment firm, Thiel Capital, both have Miami offices, Bloomberg reported.
Palantir, which builds software platforms that enable organizations to integrate and analyze datasets for operations, is making the move amid renewed investment in bringing out-of-state executives to South Florida.
Miami Dolphins owner and Related Ross CEO Stephen Ross partnered with Citadel CEO Ken Griffin to pledge $10M to Ambition Accelerated. Created through the Florida Council of 100, the campaign will advertise Florida’s tax benefits and lighter business regulations to business leaders in northeastern and western U.S. cities.
Palantir did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
