The extreme drought continues as temperatures approach record range this week.

Skies will clear through the evening as temperatures fall. A chilly night will lead to a mild Tuesday with warmer temperatures through the rest of the week.
Mainly dry through Wednesday with a slight chance of showers Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will climb to near record levels Friday and Saturday.
Tonight: Clearing and cooler with patchy fog.
Tuesday: Becoming partly cloudy and mild. Morning lows in the upper 30s and 40s for SE GA, 40s to low 50s for NE FL. Afternoon highs in the 70s inland, 60s along our beaches. Wind: NE 5-10 mph. Patchy fog overnight.
Wednesday: Warming under partly cloudy skies with a light southwest wind. Morning lows in the 50s. Afternoon highs in the 70s for SE GA, 70s and low 80s for NE FL. Wind SW 5-10 mph. Patchy fog overnight.
Looking ahead: Near record highs will be possible late this week along with a slight chance of showers Thursday through Sunday.
