ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Mayor Ken Welch will deliver his State of the City address on Wednesday.
He will lay out his goals for 2026 and take a look back at last year.
A topic expected to take center stage is the defunct Tampa Bay Rays deal and his hopes for the historic Gas Plant District.
But this is also an election year, and Welch has already announced he’s running for a second term.
Affordable housing remains an issue the mayor is expected to address, along with continued hurricane recovery and fortifying the city before the next storm.
The address is taking place at the palladium theater at 10 a.m.
