TAMPA — Nashville Night in Tampa will showcase Ray Fulcher and Scooter Carusoe, two of Nashville’s best hit songwriters, on Saturday, Feb. 28, 8 p.m., in Jaeb Theater at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N. W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa.

Country songs tell stories, and behind those stories are the tales of how the song came to be. Nashville Night in Tampa is a concert series at Straz Center featuring Nashville’s hit-making songwriters playing their songs and sharing their tunes’ origin stories. It’s a chance to hear first-hand tales of how a hit is created, from the initial spark to getting that song to a hit-making performer.

February’s performance features songwriters Ray Fulcher and Scooter Carusoe.

Fulcher’s hits include “The Fall” (Cody Johnson), “When it Rains it Pours” (Luke Combs), “Does to Me” (Luke Combs featuring Eric Church) and “Drinking Problems” (Dillon Carmichael).
