PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A man’s life was cut short by gunfire in Port St. Lucie on Wednesday morning, where police are now on the hunt for a family member suspected of the shooting.
According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, at around 7:47 a.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at a home located in the 5900 block of NW Ketona Circle.
Upon arrival, the officers found an adult male inside the home suffering from a gunshot wound; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said that their preliminary investigations suggest that the shooting may have been the result of a dispute within the home.

Officials have identified the suspected shooter as a family member who fled the area in a vehicle before officers arrived.
