JADE JARVIS WPBF 25 NEWS DEVELOPING TONIGHT A PROMISING LEAD IN THE NANCY GUTHRIE DISAPPEARANCE HAS HIT A ROADBLOCK. DNA TESTED FROM GLOVES FOUND TWO MILES FROM GUTHRIE’S HOME DO NOT HAVE ANY MATCHES IN THE NATIONAL CRIME DATABASE. THE DNA ALSO DOESN’T MATCH DNA FOUND AT GUTHRIE’S HOME. INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER TERRI PARKER JOINS US WITH MORE ON TERRI. THIS DOESN’T MEAN A DEAD END ON THESE GLOVES, RIGHT? TIFFANY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT FOR INVESTIGATORS IF THAT DNA MATCHED SOMEONE ALREADY IN THAT DATABASE KNOWN AS CODIS. BUT IT DIDN’T. BUT THERE ARE OTHER AVENUES TO FIND OUT WHOSE DNA IT IS AND IF IT’S CONNECTED TO GUTHRIE’S ABDUCTION. THE GLOVES FOUND NEAR THE ROAD LOOKED LIKE THE GLOVES WORN BY A MASKED MAN SEEN ON DOORBELL CAMERA FOOTAGE ON GUTHRIE’S PORCH. THEY HAD DNA IN THEM AND WERE SENT OFF TO A DNA LAB IN DEERFIELD BEACH FOR TESTING. ONCE THEY HAD THE SAMPLE, THEY RAN IT THROUGH THE FBI DATABASE THAT HOLDS MORE THAN 19 MILLION OFFENDER PROFILES. BUT NO DICE, NO MATCH. WHAT THEY CAN DO NOW IS THE SAME THING INVESTIGATORS DID IN THE BRYAN KOHBERGER. IDAHO STUDENT MURDERS PUT THE DNA IN A PUBLIC GENEALOGY DATABASE, GET RELATIVES MATCHES, AND BUILD OUT A FAMILY TREE. THAT’S HOW THEY FIRST LANDED ON KOHBERGER AS A SUSPECT. THAT TAKES TIME, THOUGH. IN THE MEANTIME, DNA FOUND GUTHRIE’S PROPERTY IS STILL BEING ANALYZED. ACCORDING TO THE PIMA COUNTY SHERIFF, PEOPLE HAVE BEEN DETAINED IN THIS CASE BUT RELEASED, AND NO ARRESTS HAVE BEEN MADE, THE SHERIFF SAYS INVESTIGATORS HAVE BEEN GOING TO LOCAL GUN SHOPS IN THE AREA TO SEE IF ANYONE RECOGNIZES THE MAN IN THE DOORBELL VIDEO, AND IT IS BEING REPORTED. THEY ARE ALSO ASKING IF ANYONE ON THE LIST OF ABOUT 40 PEOPLE HAS PURCHASED A GUN RECENTLY. THE SHERIFF ALSO SAYS THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY HAS BEEN RULED OUT AS SUSPECTS, BUT HE HASN’T
