Son wanted after shooting father in Port St. Lucie garage, police say

Police are investigating a homicide in a Port St. Lucie neighborhood on Wednesday morning after a son shot and killed his father during a family dispute.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department, officers responded around 7:45 a.m. to the 5900 block of Northwest Ketona Circle after the victim’s wife called 911 to report the shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and killed in the garage of the home.

Police say the incident stemmed from a dispute between the father and son. The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Sheldon Brian Morrison, fled the area in a gold or beige Cadillac before officers arrived, and is wanted for homicide. He is believed to be armed.

The victim has been identified as 69-year-old Glen Morrison.

Authorities confirmed they had not responded to any prior calls at the residence.

The suspect is known to work on vehicles for other people.

Law enforcement is currently working to locate the suspect and obtain a warrant. This is believed to be an isolated incident.
