The sixth annual Sanibel Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) MobilePack was held on Feb. 6-7 at the Sanibel Community Church on Sanibel. More than 800 volunteers packed 233,000 meals — 1,080 boxes and 30 pallets, which translated into feeding 695 youths for a year. Those helping on Saturday set a milestone as they packed the millionth meal since the Sanibel event’s start six years ago. In addition, this year’s fundraising goal of $100,000 was met by donations from the community, service clubs, businesses, churches and volunteer/donors. FMSC is a Christian nonprofit hunger relief organization dedicated to providing nutritious meals to youths worldwide.
