Pulse nightclub demolition to begin in March, officials say

The city of Orlando announced on Wednesday that there is officially a start date for the demolition of the Pulse nightclub.Timeline On March 5, the city plans to provide an update on the design of the permanent Pulse memorial.”During the meeting, the design team will share a presentation that includes new renderings that advance the work of the Pulse Memorial Advisory Committee,” a representative said.As for the clearing of the site, so far the fence has gone up, and artifacts from the building have been carefully removed, transported and secured in “an environmentally-controlled warehouse,” the announcement from officials said.The next step is removing the Pulse sign.”The Pulse sign will be removed on or near March 10, 2026, from outside of the building as a part of this process.
