FRIDAY: Miami returns home to host Bowling Green on Friday, Feb. 20 at 8:30 p.m. on CBSSN. With No. 1 Arizona falling to Kansas last week, Miami is the only remaining undefeated team in the country. The Red and White enter this Friday’s game with a 26-0 (13-0 MAC) record, its best start to a season in program history. Tuesday’s win over UMass set a new program record for wins in a season, breaking the mark of 25 established last year. The RedHawks have also secured the best start for a program in MAC history (originally set by WMU in 1975-76 at 19-0) and the longest win streak in MAC history (originally set by Kent State in 2001-02 at 21-0).Â
ABOUT BOWLING GREEN: Bowling Green is currently 16-11 (7-7 MAC), as the Falcons are currently coming off of a 71-78 loss at the Stroh Center Tuesday night. Bowling Green went 14-18 (8-10 MAC) last year. Head coach Todd Simon is in his third season with the Falcons. Heading into the 2025-26 season, Bowling Green was selected to finish seventh overall in the 2025-26 MAC Coaches’ Preseason Men’s Basketball Poll. Senior guard Javonte Campbell was selected to the Preseason First Team All-MAC. Campbell leads the Falcons in points (18.6/game), assists (5.0/game) and steals (3.3/game). Senior forward Sam Towns has totaled the most rebounds (6.6/game), and senior forward Troy Glover II has produced the most blocks (1.6/game).Â
THE SERIES WITH THE FALCONS: This Friday’s home contest versus Bowling Green will be the 155th meeting between the two programs. The RedHawks lead the series 93-61 all-time, as the Red and White are 53-19 when playing BGSU in Millett Hall. Miami is currently on a three-game winning streak versus the Falcons, as the RedHawks’ last victory (93-83) came on Dec. 30, 2025 at the Stroh Center.

RECENT ACTION: Peter Suder recorded a game-high 23 points, while three other RedHawks scored in double figures as the Red and White seized an 86-77 victory at UMass Tuesday night. With this win, Miami set a new school record of 26 wins in a single season and moved to 13-0 in conference play for the first time in program history. The Red and White shot 50% or better from the field (26-of-52) for the 20th time this season and recorded under 10 turnovers (seven) for the 10th time this season. Miami scored 14 points off turnovers, whereas the Minutemen totaled just three. The RedHawks recorded nine fast-break points, while UMass didn’t score any points in transition. Miami had 33 attempts from the free-throw line, in comparison to just 16 attempts from the hosts.
NATIONAL RANKINGS: Miami improved to No. 22 overall in the Associated Press Top 25 men’s college basketball poll on Monday, Feb. 16. The Red and White moved into the national rankings for the first time since Feb. 15, 1999 on Monday, Jan 19. The RedHawks are the first team from the MAC selected in the poll since the 2018-19 Buffalo Bulls. The Red and White also retained its highest ranking of the 2025-26 season on the Mid-Major Top 25® Poll, as Collegeinsider announced its newest poll on Monday, with the RedHawks ranked No. 2 overall.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE: With Miami’s most recent home win against Ohio (90-74), the RedHawks extended their home win streak to 29 games (most consecutive home wins in program history). The RedHawks are currently tied with Akron (29) for the second-longest home winning streak in the nation, as Miami only trails Duke (30). Last season, Miami set a new record of 15 straight home wins over the course of one season.
