MIAMI-DADE COUNTY — Deputies in Miami-Dade County are investigating a double shooting.
It happened around 6:10 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Southwest 266th Street and 138th Avenue.
“My girl — she was was yelling, ‘Oh my God, babe. They’re shooting, they’re shooting,’” a witness identified only as Jay said. “When I went outside, all I just seen is the white car just took off — it had a lot of bullet holes on the white car too.”
When deputies responded to the scene, they said they found damage to a vehicle and structure, but no victims.
At the same time, authorities said two men arrived at Baptist Health Homestead Hospital suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They were later taken to Jackson South Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators determined the two victims were injured at the scene that deputies initially responded to.
One of the victims is listed in critical condition while the other is stable, authorities said.
Neighbors in the area told Local 10 they’re shaken and hoping whoever is responsible is caught before it happens again.
“I was a little nervous. I was a little scared,” a resident in the area identified only as Dee said.
There has been no update on whether deputies are seeking a suspect or any persons of interest in the shooting.
