The visitation and homegoing service details for Alice Morgan Grant were announced for all to join celebrating her life and work in Orlando and Eatonville, and the life of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, “affectionately known as Nana.”
According to the details, services will be held in Orlando, where she spent more than 40 years, and in Muskogee, Oklahoma, where she will be laid to rest beside her grandmother and brother.
The visitation in Orlando, Florida will be February 20th – family visitation will be 1pm-2pm, and friends will be 4pm-6pm – at the Mitchell Funeral Home (501 Fairvilla Road, Orlando). The homegoing service is on February 21st, with viewing at 9:30am and service at 11am, at Mount Zion MBI Church (535 W. Washington Street, Orlando). The service will also be streamed online via Facebook and YouTube. Repast will immediately follow the service at the Winter Park Women’s Club (419 S. Interlachen Ave., Winter Park).
In lieu of flowers, the family asked to consider donations in honor of Alice Morgan Grant’s dedication to Spelman College as the Editor of the school newspaper and as a grantwriter for an Eatonville nonprofit, Preserve the Eatonville Community (PEC). The family asks to please specify: “In Memory of Alice M. Grant.”
