A SpaceX rocket rumbled through the clouds and lit up the night sky Feb. 19, on a launch that took it on a flight path toward a booster landing in the Caribbean.

The launch occurred at 8:41 p.m. Thursday from Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

The Falcon 9 rocket carried 29 Starlink internet satellites to orbit on the booster’s 26th mission. No sonic booms were heard in Brevard County, as the booster landed on the Just Read the Instructions drone ship out off the coast of the Bahamas. This marked only the second time SpaceX has landed that far south, the first being in Feb. 2025.
